Our community had been blessed last August 2 when we celebrate the patronal feast of our house, Our Lady, Queen of the Angels of the Portiuncula.

The Feast is of Franciscan origin which returned back to St. Francis who lived and loved the little chapel of Our Lady of the Angels of the Portiuncula in the plains of Assisi, Italy. St. Francis obtained from the Holy See the grant of plenary indulgence to those who will visit the chapel from the vigil of August 2 until night of August 2. Today, the Church extended this privilege to all Franciscan Churches and all parish churches.

The patronal feast of the house of Kauswagan was prepared by triduum of evening Masses from July 30 until August 1. The main celebrant and preachers of the triduum Masses were Fr. Cherubim Panilong, Fr. Maximilian Ciar and Fr. Dolindo Tabudlong. All of these triddum Masses were well attended.

The actual feast day Mass was offered by Fr. Martin Fonte, General Delegate of the Franciscans of the Immaculate in the Philippines. It was a concelebrated Mass and full packed participation of friends and benefactors. A sumptuous dinner was served for all. All for the glory of the Immaculate Virgin.
